I went to Glacier Point to Get images of Half Done at Sunset. A storm was descending on Yosemite and I thought that just maybe there maybe some after glow if the cloud cover permitted. I was not ready for this spectacular show of light. Slowly a small orange glow at the base of Half Dome erupted into what I can only describe as Half Dome on Fire. Then the glowing Mountain receded back to its dull color in an overcast sky. Well worth the drive. Right time, Right Place made a wonderful sight.
Wonderful capture. This is one of my favorite spots in Yosemite. I've watched many a sunset from this spot. For something a little extra, it's even nicer on a evening when a full moon rises.
